As we get into the full swing of the spring buying season, we will be using our Weekly Keynote to introduce you to products that you may know little about that could open up opportunities for you to work with more buyers and sellers. This week, we are going to discuss our ITIN lending option.
An ITIN, or Individual Tax Identification Number, is issued to U.S. residents who do not have citizenship but live and work in the country. They are not eligible for a social security number and use this Tax ID number to report earnings and pay taxes. Most conventional and FHA lending products require the homebuyer to have a social security number. At Key Mortgage, we offer a specialized ITIN program that allows us to provide home financing to those who have been shut out of the traditional home loan products.
With an ITIN, here are a few things to keep in mind:
- Maximum loan-to-value is 80%
- No social security number needed
- Can use with traditional self-employed, W2 borrowers or those needing non-traditional income calculation options
- Flexible FICO scores
This program can create a great opportunity to actively engage in the community and bring homeownership to those who believed it was out of reach when you partner with Key Mortgage. Contact a Key Mortgage loan officer today.
